One of NFL Guy’s favorite players in the whole league is DeMarcus Ware, OLB, Dallas. I said he was not playing up to his usual standard, and now we know why. The Cowboys finally reported that the all star player has a stress fracture in one of his feet.
Check out the [...]
I only picked two wrong last week, so until I really embarass myself, here I go:

Minnesotta 24 – Pittsburgh 17
New England 38 – Tampa Bay 7

ESPN just ran their documentary tonight on the demise on the USFL. Former NJ Generals owner Donald Trump could not have looked worse – and that is from his interviews alone. If anyone else saw it, or is an old USFL fan, please put a post. I’d like to hear about your [...]
Pats’ trade or no trade? That is the question
Posted in Burt Talks Sports on Oct 20th, 2009 View Comments
We are here 45 minutes before the NFL’s trade deadline wondering if the Patriots are going to pull the trigger.
With all of the moves the Patriots made today, primarily cutting wide receiver Joey Galloway, it makes you wonder.
The Stephen Jackson to Patriots rumor (and I mean rumor) is interesting. He is a waste in St. [...]
Washington
I didn’t think this squad would be good, but you’re looking at a team in complete chaos. The owner doesn’t know what he is doing, his henchmen are overrated, (yes you Vinny Cerrato), and his poor coached is just in way too far over his head. Now they are bringing in more help for Zorn, [...]
Denver 34 – San Diego 23
Wow special teams were fun tonight. Several things jump out right away – 1.) Denver might just be the number one team in the AFC. They turned up the heat late in the game, and QB Phillip Rivers was dashed upon the rocks; and the tide of the game turned. [...]
OAKLAND 13- PHILLY 9
Wuzza? Wha’ da? Huh? Hey, wha’ happened? I don’t think anyone saw this coming. The Raiders mixed up their defenses and blitzed away, making it a long day for Donovan McNabb. Former Patriot Richard Seymour had a pair of sacks, and the Eagles averaged less than 4 runs a quarter. Philly is [...]
I woke up from my Titans-induced slumber just in time for halftime grades. This is easy, like my teachers had it in high school at Central.
Offense
Line (A) … Toying with a Tennessee team that clearly has quit.
Quarterback (A) … Toying with a Tennessee team that clearly has quit.
Running Backs (A) … Toying with a Tennessee [...]
Snow’s here and the Pats are in their element
Posted in Burt Talks Sports on Oct 18th, 2009 View Comments
Hector Longo here in Foxboro, seems like old times with the snow, the Pat Patriot and Houston Oiler uniforms and the Pats in a 3-4.
The field is like a sheet of glass.
Jeff Fisher hit the panic button, with runs and an attempt screen into a 9man Pats front.
Meanwhile, the Pats will run their regular stuff.
No [...]
