The Red Sox announced their 2010 schedule today and there are some interesting elements, including opening the season and ending the season with three games against the Yankees at Fenway Park.
How ’bout them apples?
Here are a few other highlights:
– Mark June 18-20 on your calender. That’s when the Dodgers, including Manny Ramirez and Joe Torre, [...]

If the 25-24 score last night, on Monday Night Football, had a familiar ring to it, well it should.
Last year, the Bills blew a lead and lost in the final minute, 29-27, to Cleveland on Monday night. Two years ago, the Bills lost on the final play of the game, 25-24, to Dallas, also on [...]

Here are few quick thoughts and observations from opening night:
1. Jerod Mayo is needed.
The Patriots used duct tape for most of the game at middle linebacker and got away with it. That could be a problem going forward. Jerod Mayo’s knee injury, if it is extended beyond a few weeks, will be tough to overcome. [...]

A Brady to Watson sets up the final 2:06, with New England trailing 24-19.
Will Stephen Gostkowski onside kick? He has to, if not just to save the extra timeout at the two-minute warning.
At home, on opening night, New England is now down 17-10.
It’s almost comical watching the Bills. You get to see how the other half lives.
Tom Brady is playing timid ball.
The offense is mired in the mud.
The defense is giving up big, chain-moving gains on third down (ever heard that one before?) andthe place is dead.
Yet [...]
The announced the 50-year Pats anniversary team. A couple notes:
Ben Coates over Russ Francis at TE???
Come on. Who did Cosell brand all-world anyway?
Jon Morris at center over Dr. Bill Lenkaitis? Not to sure about that.
Gigantic ovation for Tedy Bruschi, absolutely the loudest cheer of the night.
Ty Law got a great round of applause too. Looks [...]
If I had to sum up the first half, I’d call the Pats’ performance ‘confused’

A Brady-to-aaron Schobel touchdown hookup for 26 yards, woops, he’s on the other team. Kind of illustrates what we saw in this the first half.
three quick observations.
1. On both sides of the football, the Pats are trying to implement new things and it’s not pretty.
Belichick and Andover’s Bill O’Brien are intent to play out of [...]
